Last Wednesday Georgina once again opened her beautiful home to all us momstown mamas for our annual Secret Santa. For the week leading up to the evening there was lots of excited chatter among us about possible gift ideas, food and most of all, a night out with an awesome bunch of ladies!
The excitement was apparent when everyone arrived at Georgina’s 10 to 15 minutes early, arms full of gifts and munchies. Even our very pregnant member Jodie made it out 2 days
before her due date!! Once we all had drinks in hand and plates of food our lovely hostess had all 12 of us pick our Secret Santa numbers. I was lucky enough to get 11 and couldn't help but be excited about the prospect of having free pick of almost everything! The rules were; everyone picks a
number. The mom with #1 got to pick the first gift and unwrap it. The mom with #2 then got to pick a wrapped gift from under the tree or could steal from the previously unwrapped ones and so on. I was sure with this spirited group of ladies we would have some
fights over gifts! While no one came to blows, there were a few favourites that were stolen time and time again! The outcome was lots of laughs, full tummies and all of us going home with beautiful gifts! As I sat looking around at this fabulous group of ladies, all of which I am proud to call friends, it struck me how truly blessed I am to have found them all! momstown has allowed all of us to feel like we really belong to something with people who know and live what we live every day! Isn’t feeling that inner warmth, contentedness and love what Christmas is really all about? Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you!
